Greig Sinclair & Neill Hobbs

Greig Sinclair CA (SA)

Greig completed his tertiary education at UNISA with a BCompt Honours and Post-Graduate Diploma in Auditing. He also completed his articles at Betty and Dickson (now RSM Betty and Dickson). Apart from many years of public practice, Greig has also served as CFO for a number of prominent private companies. He became a partner at Hobbs Sinclair in 2006, specialising in corporate structure, tax compliance, audit, financial and management accounting, tax and financial strategy. Greig has an exceptional knack in financial management and his years of experience have earned him the reputation of a strategic business analyst.

In his spare time, Greig is a passionate junior soccer coach and when he’s not on the field, he’ll be golfing or spending time with his wife and two sons.

Neill Hobbs CA (SA)

Neill has a BCom Honours Degree in Financial Management and completed his audit articles at Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC). Neill has been in public practice for over 20 years and is the founding member of Hobbs Sinclair. Apart from his broad experience in financial strategy, he has managed a number of privately and publicly held corporations and holds directorships in several companies. A business turnaround specialist by nature, Neill has experience in corporate finance and capital markets and is a Senior Business Rescue Practitioner. Neill is a family man, passionate for music, military history and his faith.

Morné Janse van Rensburg

Management Accountant
ACMA, CGMA

Inspired by his favourite quote from Winston Churchill, ‘Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts’, Morné’s dedicated, focused and charismatic approach to his work has fostered a stellar career in a short space of time.

After graduating from Stellenbosch University with a BCom Honours in Management Accounting, Morné began his career at Hobbs Sinclair Advisory before being appointed as Managing Director of Bannister Trust (Pty) Ltd, which specialises in the administration and management of trusts by providing holistic, tailor-made advice to clients.

Morné is a great team player and critical thinker – he enjoys mentoring the CIMA trainees who are an essential part of the dynamic team at Hobbs Sinclair.

Ruan van Jaarsveld

Manager, Hobbs Sinclair Advisory
ACMA, CGMA

Ruan’s patience, attention to detail and logical thinking have paved the way for a successful career in the accounting sector.   After completing a BCom Honours in Management Accounting at Stellenbosch University, he began his career at Hobbs Sinclair Advisory as a CIMA trainee, working his way up to a management position in just 4 years, where he now oversees corporate structuring, tax compliance and venture capital investment management.

He’s a believer in going the extra mile, always up for a challenge, and solutions-driven, which highlights his rapid and successful trajectory in this ever-shifting industry.
